The death has been reported of a Former First Lady of Ghana, Emily Akuffo.
The 88-year-old wife of the late Head of State of Ghana, General FWK Akuffo died in her sleep on Friday, April 8, 2022.
A teacher by profession, Mrs Emily Akuffo was the First Lady from July 1, 1978, to June 4, 1979.

After the death of her husband, she spent the remaining years of her life in her hometown in Akropong away from the public eye.
