Ghanaian Sets Guinness World Record for Hugging Trees

The record-breaking effort was made at Auburn, Alabama, USA, on 25 March 2024, when he accomplished the amazing feat of hugging 1,123 trees in one hour.

A Ghanaian student in the United States by the name of Abubakar Tahiru has had his name engraved in the Guinness World Records by hugging trees.

Tahiru has made history by becoming the first person to hold the Guinness World Record for the most trees hugged in one hour.

The record-breaking effort was made at Auburn, Alabama, USA, on 25 March 2024, when he accomplished the amazing feat of hugging 1,123 trees in one hour.

Tahiru is a forestry student from Ghana.

Tahiru wanted to make history by embracing every tree, but he also wanted to draw attention to how important it is to continue global sustainability initiatives.

A publication by Guinness World Records stated that “The most trees hugged in one hour (individual) is 1,123, and was achieved by Abubakar Tahiru (Ghana), in Auburn, Alabama, USA, on 25 March 2024.”
