JamRock Drags Mr. Drew to Court for Failing to Perform at Easter Event

According to the Organisers, Mr. Drew arrived at his hotel with three team members around 3 pm on the day of the event but failed to perform when it was time to do so.

An Accra-based events organiser, JamRock Bar and Event Center is suing Ghanaian artiste, Andrew Nii Commey Otoo, known as Mr. Drew, for failing to perform at an Easter event, which was slated for Monday, April 1, 2024, at Asuogyaman.

The management of JamRock had earlier indicated in a press statement dated April 2, 2024, that Mr. Drew withdrew from the event despite receiving 50% of the performance fee before the show when he was to mount the stage without any valid explanations or reason.

The statement also mentioned that after receiving his payment, Mr. Drew recorded a video confirming his participation in the event.

According to the Organisers, Mr. Drew arrived at his hotel with three team members around 3 pm on the day of the event and was expected to prepare for the evening’s performance.  However, at around 12:30 am, organizers tried to reach Mr. Drew to perform but received no response. They went to his hotel and found him asleep. Eventually, Mr. Drew and his team left the hotel for Accra without performing at the event.
