The CEO of Weezy Empire, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has released a press statement to address the speculation that he neglected the three-year-old boy who died as a result of the accident that happened on May 25, 2024.
In a press statement obtained by The Accra Times, Lilwin’s management offered condolences to the bereaved family for the tragic loss of their son. The statement however rejected accusations of the actor neglecting the victims.
“As much as we are saddened and traumatised, we find unwarranted allegations of neglect on our part as speculated by some commentators very distasteful and disturbing at this troubling time,” excerpts of the statement read.

The statement claimed that Lilwin, his manager and bouncer who suffered life-threatening injuries from the accident were also undergoing medical treatment at that time.
“We want to state categorically that we were unclear about the extent of damage from the accident because our artiste, manager, and bouncer suffered life-threatening injuries. Raymoney, our artiste manager, is still undergoing treatment in a hospital, as is Kwadwo Nkansah, who has yet to fully recover from the tragedy but our bouncer has been processed for surgical review,” the statement further read.
The press release was issued following Lilwin’s involvement in an accident which left a three-year-old boy and his father in critical condition. The accident occurred when Lilwin’s car collided with another vehicle transporting the boy and his father. The damaged vehicle is in police custody as investigations proceed.
The boy who has been identified as Nana Yaw and his father, Jacob Kofi Ampomah were rushed to a nearby hospital and later transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, the boy succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024. However, his father who sustained a leg fracture survived.
The family of the deceased child, who intends to sue the actor, chastised Lilwin for failing to sympathise with them before and during the accident victim’s funeral. They also questioned him for attending the premiere of his new film “A Country Called Ghana” shortly after being discharged, while ignoring the accident victims.
