NDC to Set Up Creative Arts Fund to Support the Film Industry- Kafui Danku

Kafui Danku announces the NDC's intention to build state-of-the-art film studios, aiming to elevate the Ghanaian film industry's production quality to match global standards.

Ghanaian actress, Kafui Danku, has revealed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will set up a Creative Arts Fund to support industry players, if the NDC is voted in power.

Kafui Danku made the claim at the NDC Youth manifesto launch in Accra on Monday, August 12, 2024, held at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA). According to her,  the Creative Arts Fund will offer financial support to both emerging and established creative projects, providing a much-needed boost to the industry.

“A creative arts funds will be instituted to offer sustainable financial support to start-ups and existing creative enterprises…the upcoming elections is an opportunity for the creative people to choose a government that cares, a government that would invest in their development,” she noted

Kafui Danku also announced the NDC’s intention to build state-of-the-art film studios, aiming to elevate the Ghanaian film industry’s production quality to match global standards.

“The NDC government plans to empower young artistes and facilitate the export of culture and artistic growth and services. John Mahama would also set up a world class studio where we can film quality content to match up with global content,” she said.

In her concluding remarks, Kafui Danku pleaded with hercolleagues in the film industry, to vote for NDC flagbearer John Mahama in the forthcoming elections, to enable him to revitalize the creative arts industry.
