The Ghana Police Service says it’s invited Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, to assist the Police’s ongoing investigation into the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale.
The invitation from the police comes as A-Plus went live on Facebook recently, saying he knew the killers of Suale – a broadcast that was in part a criticism to some communicators of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
Suale, an investigative journalist with the Tiger Eye PI was shot dead in 2019, a few meters away from his home at Madina. But five years on, no arrests have been made, even though a sitting MP had publicly instigated an attack on the journalist.
In a statement on Monday, the police service says it’s pleased that A-Plus has made an indication that he “has some information that could assist the ongoing investigation, and he has been invited accordingly.”
