Saturday Morning Blues: State Capture

Many an election year has come and gone and parties advocate for the election of MMDCEs. But wait till they get into office and it's as if that conversation has never existed.

Sometimes Yours Truly can barely grasp some things ooo…. Event organisers try their best to put together conferences, parties, workshops, etc. And then after all the preparations are over and done with, they advertise.

Now, the blue is why do they advertise the event on media platforms when they know that the attendance is strictly by invitation.
Rasta don’t gerrit at all. Why not just send letters or notifications to those attending and it ends there? Ah well…. It’s not a state capture but most certainly attention capture.

State captured who? Or who captured the state? It’s all over these days. And the young Honable from the North in the South won’t relent in bringing to book those who are alleged to be involved in cases of state capture. At least he’s scored some points in favour of the Republic. The rest are ongoing or going on?

Of interest is an individual or some individuals who are bent on striping off official bungalows allocated to some senior Wiggy Red Robbed Supremos of the Republic. If you want to mess up with people, don’t take it to the Wiggy fraternity ooo.. hmmm
People get chest medicine in this Republic. I tell you!

People in this Republic of our death don’t fear face ooo….. I mean how can citizens encroach on the shooting range of the Republic’s Men and Women in Arms. Shooting range paa…. Just can’t understand! So do these people value their lives? State capture in the making!

Per Rasta’s thinking, political debates don’t really add any significant weight to the campaign drive. Considering all the energy and money poured into it.

Yes, it gives candidates a common platform to say what they have to say on issues directed at them and that’s it. In fact, a lot of people want to witness the event just to see how some candidates keep their composure or make a mess of themselves. Besides, whatever they say there are just their opinions and aren’t really held accountable to it. The bottom line, party manifesto reigns supreme.

All they want is the large numbers and the euphoria party campaigns generate for reassurance that they’re on course. And ironically, they bus people to the campaign grounds. How do you get the accurate numbers when you do that? Or is it done to scare their opponents? Conscious capture!

It’s just painful and demeanding that Honables that citizens have thumb printed for them to occupy office of responsibility, would want to think and even say that their job is more important than we the ordinary citizens of this Republic.
And so they’re justified in mounting sirens and bells on their vehicles to pull us over so they can get to where they’re going because they are more productive?

You are more productive than the people who pay you? Wise of them to have quickly retreated.
We’re all involved in the fortunes of the Republic. No exceptions!
If they want to be more productive, they should fix the traffic congestion problems on our roads.
Their counterparts in far more richer jurisdictions are taking public transport to work. Some are even riding bicycles and they are here claiming bigality!

Nana, sorry wai…… Town roads are in a bad state. Nana proceeds to do some repairs and he’s arrested at the instigation of the DCE after all attempts to get the roads done fell on deaf ears. Reason? He didn’t use the appropriate channels. Good show. Now mister DCE, let’s redirect your efforts.

Why don’t you go round and arrest the young men and school going age boys who are on the roads filling potholes and soliciting money from drivers?
Citizens of this Republic, do you sincerely believe that if MMDCEs were elected, we would have such incidents? Don’t blame them.

From the first quarter of this year, we heard from the grapevine that Doctor letter tinting writer to Amrila and Chief of the Republic’s Men in Black was going to be sidetracked. It was vehemently denied.

The matter died down and was resurrected a few weeks ago. And there were denials from those close to My President.
Tricky or not, My President has appointed someone to a position that all things being equal, is parallel to the position of the current Chief of the Republic’s Men in Black.

Now that we’ve crossed half of the year, maybe we should review our resolutions for the year. And whilst at it, let’s not forget to check on others.
Some are around us and are just living ‘outside gentility, home cry’. You never know what they’re battling with.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be in person but a call or text will do.
People will not usually come straight across to mention their health problems but if we reach out, it may just be the chance for them to talk about it.
The Akan saying that ‘yare yɛ ya’, meaning sickness is painful goes beyond the physical pain being experienced but even opening up and talking about it is also painful.

Have a great hangover morning and have a patient weekend awaiting another state capture.
