The UGMC is one of Ghana’s most advanced hospitals. Having achieved the feat of performing successful kidney transplants now, the hospital follows the stead of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and the Bank Hospital which have previously done so, and therefore adding to increasing expertise by local health centers to perform such surgeries.
