Akufo-Addo Receives 6th Honorary Doctorate Degree as He Commissions Phase 2 Project of UHAS

Nana Akufo-Addo's government has touted achievements in education even though implementation continues to be a challenge

President Akufo-Addo on Monday, received a 6th honorary doctorate degree from the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), after having previously received one earlier this month from Valley View University.

“This Doctor of Science Degree (Honoris Causa) is not merely a personal accolade, but a testament to the collective efforts and achievements of my administration and every Ghanaian who has supported our vision for a free, progressive, and prosperous Ghana. This recognition reinforces my commitment to serve our beloved nation to the best of my abilities,” Nana Akufo-Addo wrote on Facebook.

The degree that was conferred on him took place at the commissioning of phase II of UHAS. The project is valued at $60 million with support from China.

It is expected that completion would enhance the university’s capacity to train more health professionals and allied health practitioners.

“In our quest to advance national development, we have made significant investments in health and education,” Nana Akufo-Addo said, as his administration has always touted achievements in education, especially the Free SHS programme, which has continued to face implementation challenges.
