President Akufo-Addo has extended a profound celebratory message to the Ghanaian participants of the 13th All-African Games and Ghanaians in general for committing faith in his government’s position to host the games.

In a statement released shortly after the closing ceremony of the event on Saturday, March 23, the head of state congratulated the athletes for their remarkable performances during the event. The event saw Team Ghana clinch an unprecedented sixty-eight (68) medals – nineteen of them are gold, twenty-nine are silver, and twenty of them are bronze.

”To each and every member of the Ghanaian team, I commend you for your dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Your excellent achievements have not only brought glory to our nation but have also inspired a new generation of sportspersons across our beloved country. You have showcased the best of Ghana to the world,” he said.

He further encouraged Ghanaians to capitalize on the event to continually use sports as a catalyst for national development.
