Amerado has Contacted TGMA Board on ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’ Snub – Robert Klah

Amerado received two nominations for the upcoming award; the best rap performance with his track ‘The Hardest’ and the Best Collaboration with ‘Kwaku Ananse’ remix featuring Fameye.

Ghanaian rapper, Amerado, has appealed to the board of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) to nominate his ‘Kwaku Ananse’ song for the most popular song category.

This comes shortly after the rapper questioned organisers of the award formally known as Vodafone Music Awards (VGMA), via X (formerly Twitter), on why they did not nominate his viral hit song, ‘Kweku Ananse’, during the unveiling of the nominee categories on March 28.

Speaking in an interview on HitzFM, Robert Klah, Head of Public Events and Communications for Charter House, commended the rapper and his team for reaching out to the organizers of the award scheme in time regarding the nomination snub.

“Amerado’s team has already contacted us. They moved from social media to contacting us directly and following what has to be done”, Klah said.

He also stated that the TGMA board has opened a one-week window to check “errors and omissions” hence, these checks, if done, will prove if Kweku Ananse will be included in the category.”
