Member of Parliament for the Asitifi South Constituency, Collins Dauda has been granted bail following his arrest on Sunday for allegedly engaging in violence at a voter registration center at Kukuom in the Ahafo Region.

“He [Collins Dauda] was immediately granted bail. And so he is currently on bail. And the police say that they are conducting their investigation, so he will hear from them,” National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Director, Sammy Gyamfi is quoted to have said in an interview with Citi FM.

Since the arrest, the NDC has accused the police of bias, as they claimed Collins Dauda “was not present at the Kukuom registration center on May 11, where the alleged disturbances took place, and was instead monitoring the registration exercise in his constituency.”
