Ghanaian musical artist Ayisi, formerly known as A.I., has recently revealed the reason behind his name change.
The “Anger management” hitmaker explained that the abbreviation, A.I., was frequently associated with Artificial Intelligence, which could lead to confusion among fans and overshadow his musical identity.
“Nowadays everything is A.I. so it was suggested that you know the artiste will get lost in all that…there were incredible names, Adenta Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and all that so I thought that the artiste will get lost in all that,” he explained on TV3’s New Day show.
Ayisi explained that his previous stage name was just the first and last letters of his real and current stage name, Ayisi, combined. According to the musician, to guarantee clarity in his artistic identity and to avoid any ambiguity, he decided to switch to Ayisi.
