Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over the Easter weekend, has told Christians to uphold the values of Jesus Christ to benefit the nation and humanity.
“The sermons of both pastors, interestingly, touched on the essence of maintaining faith and trusting in the power of God for revival, in times of adversity. Beyond Easter, let us continue to uphold its lessons of sacrifice, mercy, and love,” he wrote on Facebook after his visit to the SDA Congregation and the Church of Pentecost’s Convention both in Kwahu Nkwatia on Saturday.
On Sunday, he was a special guest at The Maker’s House Chapel International at Kwabenya, Accra, and the Glorious Word Power Ministries Int’l, Odorkor, Accra.
The visits come as candidates of political parties are rallying campaigns towards the general elections later in December.

Since his campaign began, Dr Bawumia has been criticized for trying to lean towards religious bodies for electoral victory in the December polls. Until recently, there were rumors that he was likely to pick the former Chairperson of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Opoku Onyina as his running mate.
