Bawumia Takes Break From Campaigns as Party Readies for 2024 Manifesto Launch

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is taking a break from election campaigning to prepare for his party’s manifesto launch this weekend.

According to a statement from Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the campaign’s director of communications, the NPP flagbearer will use this time to finalize the party’s 2024 manifesto.

The statement noted that “Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, along with his team, will dedicate the next few days to preparing and finalizing the NPP’s 2024 Manifesto, which is set to be launched on Sunday, August 18, 2024.”

The NPP’s 2024 manifesto set to be unveiled at Takoradi will surely include most of the promises and pronouncements by Dr. Bawumia from recent campaigns.

In February, when he unveiled his “independent vision” for Ghana, it included a long list of reforms, including doing away with some of the tax policies from this current administration where he serves as Vice President.
