Bawumia also announced the formation of the Diaspora Coordination Team, tasked with harnessing the skills and ideas of Diaspora members for his campaign strategy.

Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on members of the NPP Diaspora branches to come together and throw their support behind the party for victory in the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, irrespective of their initial preferences during the primary contests.

“The NPP Diaspora branches have played a crucial role in the party’s successes. For the 2024 elections, you have major roles to play,” he told a gathering at the party’s international conference in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday, March 23.

Additionally, he announced the formation of the Diaspora Coordination Team, tasked with harnessing the skills and ideas of Diaspora members for his campaign strategy.

The meeting with the party’s diaspora marks one among a number of other meetings with stakeholders as Bawumia sails forward with his campaign.

Last week, when he met business industry players and the lawyers’ association, he pledged tax amnesty and more for businesses and individuals if he is elected into power.
