Bawumia’s “Bold Solutions” Tour in the North Attracts Massive Crowds

As the days tick on to December 7, politicians on all sides of the political divide have intensified their campaign to sell their message to the people.

Not to be left out and blazing the campaign trail is the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the Vice-President of the Republic. Having completed what he termed a successful tour of the 16 regions of the country, he has since two weeks ago embarked on another nationwide propagation of the “Bold Solutions” message, this time to all the 275 constituencies, beginning from the northern part of the country. Wherever he went, he attracted huge crowds.

Dr Bawumia, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, commenced the second phase of his campaign in the Nalerigu/Gambaga, Yunyoo and Bunkpurugu constituencies, in the North East Region.

“The NPP government has made it possible for every Ghanaian child to access Secondary education through Free SHS. The government has made it possible for every Ghanaian to enjoy banking services with mobile money interoperability,” Dr Bawumia said while addressing a large crowd.

On other initiatives by the NPP government he said, “Today, because of the use of drones, we can send medicine and other medical supplies to remote places in Ghana. You can renew your Health Insurance from your phone. Indeed, there are so many initiatives this NPP government has implemented to make life better for everyone”.

Dr. Bawumia also jabbed the opposition.

“We in NPP have the vision and the ideas to transform Ghana, unlike our opponents who are only interested in Guinea fowls that fly away and little hen coops. Our record of development in the north is unmatched and there for all to see, from the creation of new regions to the provision of schools, water, roads, hospitals and many more,” he said.

The NPP Flagbearer expressed gratitude to the Nayiri, Gbintiri Naaba, Yunyoo Rana, Bunkpurugu Naaba, and the people for their warm reception in the places visited.

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, was at Chereponi and Mion constituencies in the North East and Northern Regions respectively.

The Mion-Gbonlana, Regent of the Mion Traditional Area, commended Dr. Bawumia for his exceptional leadership qualities.

“Your Excellency, having watched your performance as Vice President of our Republic, I have seen a lot of good potential which can not be swept under the carpet. Your sterling qualities and most effective leadership are undoubtedly unparalleled by any Vice President in the history of our democratic governance”, the Mion-Gbonlana said.

The Vice President on Friday, July 12, 2024, continued his constituency-based nationwide campaign in the Kpandai, Wulensi and Bimbilla constituencies in the Northern Region.

He met with the chiefs, key stakeholders and youth of these constituencies where he underscored his unmatched achievements as the most impactful Vice President in the history of Ghana which is evident that when given the mandate he will do more to enhance the development and livelihoods of Ghanaians.

At Bimbilla, Dr. Bawumia told the people that, “I am the Vice President; I’ve not been president yet and I want to plead with you, I am going to the contest with my senior John Mahama, he has been president before, and when he comes, he has only four years.” Adding that, “When I come, I have eight years, so, if you look at the presidency, do we want four years or eight? After four years, he won’t come but I will come for renewal, so please give me the chance, so that I can be accountable.”

A statement by the Chiefs of Kpandai said, “The people of Kpandai are proud of you for the role you have played as Vice President in helping His Excellency to implement policies that address inequalities in the country. Your administration has demonstrated to the people of Kpandai that equality is a hallmark for you. Kpandai has received a lot of development across the district in education, health, agriculture, among others. Kpandai Senior High School has two new storey-classroom blocks, and over 7,000 pieces of furniture and other classroom blocks across the district”.

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, Dr Bawumia visited Tatale/Sanguli, Zabzugu and Yendi constituencies in the Northern Region  Dr Bawumia touched on initiatives like the Ghana Card, Mobile Money Interoperability, Medical Drone Delivery Services, Free S.H.S, trainee allowances, among others, which have improved the livelihood of citizens and enhanced development.

He expressed the belief that combining the fertile abilities of the youth and properly thought-through policies and programmes, will surely take Ghana to the next level.

At Gushegu, Karaga and Nanton constituencies in the Northern Region on Sunday, July 15, 2024, the NPP Leader met chiefs, key stakeholders and youth pointing out to them his unmatched achievements as the most impactful Vice President in the history of Ghana which show that given the nod as president, he will do more to enhance development and livelihoods of Ghanaians.

On why he wants to lead the country, the Vice President said his vision for Ghana, “is to create a prosperous, dignified, and safe country that offers sustainable jobs and is a leader in the global digital revolution. I believe in investing in human capital, embracing the 4th Industrial Revolution, and diversifying the economy. Despite challenges, I have successfully spearheaded Ghana’s digitalization drive and aim to lead with sacrifice, loyalty, inclusion, hard work, integrity, compassion, humility, and accessibility as your flagbearer and eventual President of the Republic of Ghana in 2025”.

“I am not asking for your vote because of my ethnic, regional, or religious background. I am asking for your vote because I am a competent and capable leader who has a track record of delivering results”, Dr Bawumia assured supporters and sympathisers
