A total of 569,095 candidates are set to take this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) at 2,123 designated centers nationwide, starting today.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) extended its appreciation to all stakeholders, recognizing their contributions to preparing the candidates for the examination.
The Service further warned against examination malpractice.
“Candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities, teachers, and parents are advised to avoid any form of examination malpractice. GES, WAEC, and the security services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all centres across the country,” an excerpt of the statement read.

The statement also notified parents, candidates, and the public that the school selection process will begin after the BECE exams, with further details to be announced soon.
