The recently concluded 2024 Black Entertainment Television Awards, held on June 30, 2024, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, saw accolades being bestowed upon several Black entertainers from music, sports, and film.
The show, hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson, kicked off with a sultry performance from Megan Thee Stallion. Other performances during the night included Childish Gambino, Tyla, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Victoria Monét, YG Marley, Shaboozey, and Will Smith.
The highlight of the event was when Usher was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and also named the best male R&B/Pop artist.
