Renowned Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu has been reported dead.

Multiple reports from sources close to him say the veteran comedian passed away at Evercare Hospital.

Following a prolonged period of illness, Mr. Ibu faced significant health challenges, culminating in a series of surgeries, totaling seven in number.

However, despite the efforts made during these medical procedures, his condition persisted, necessitating the difficult decision to amputate one of his legs as a measure to preserve his life.

However, updates from his family in November indicated he was recovering.
