Dampare Congratulates Christian Tetteh Yohuno’s Appointment as Deputy IGP

Commissioner of Police (COP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno was appointed as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in charge of Operations on July 17, 2024

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has extended his warmest congratulations to Christian Tetteh Yohuno on his promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police.

In a statement posted by the Ghana Police Service on Facebook on July 18, 2024, Dampare expressed confidence that Christian Tetteh Yohuno’s abilities will contribute to maintaining peace and security in the country.

“I wish to congratulate you, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on your well-deserved promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police. I am confident that your dedication, experience, and leadership skills will continue to be assets to the Police Service as we work together to ensure peace, security, law, and order in our beloved country,” Dampare said.

A press release on July 17, 2024, signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communication, on behalf of the President, stated that the Police Council met and recommended COP Yohuno for appointment as Deputy IGP, citing his exceptional credentials and dedication to duty.
