Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has named the 120km road leading to his refinery in Lagos after the late founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Holdings, Herbert Wigwe.
Dangote made the announcement at a memorial on Monday evening in Lagos, local media said.
“To immoratalise my beloved friend, my brother, and mentee, I’ve actually decided to name our major refinery and petrochemical road-out of the 120km road, the biggest road will now be named Herbert Wigwe,” Dangote is quoted by a local publication, the Punch to have said.
The tribute comes as an honour to Mr. Wigwe, who died last month in a helicopter crash with his family.
