In a press release, the group explained that the passing of Kwabena Kwakye also known as Wofa KK on February 14 has negatively impacted their preparation for their annual event. According to them, Wofa KK was a close relative and a patron of the group. Therefore, they stated further, that family and behind gatherings scheduled would hinder their preparations for the Kwahu event, which was slated for March 31, 2024.

“This unexpected news has seriously dealt us a heavy blow as far as our preparation for Glorious Praise is concerned,” the statement read.

The group used the opportunity to apologise unreservedly to patrons who looked forward to their event.

This year’s event is to create awareness and raise funds to support breast cancer patients.
