Residents of Accra have been alarmed by an earth tremor that happened on Wednesday night.
The tremor occurred around 11pm although some residents have reported experiencing it earlier.
So far, information available to The Accra Times indicate that the tremor happened in areas such as Dansoman, Madina, East Legon, Ashaley Botwe, Adjiringanor, Nungua, Labadi and other areas.

Ghana has recorded a number of damaging earthquakes dating as far back as 1636. The last three major ones occurred in 1862, 1906 and 1939, according to a Harvard article.
