The Electoral Commission in a communiqué to its staff, has hinted on going on recess tomorrow, the Wednesday, December 23rd.
The Electoral supretendent body is expected to resume official duties next year on Tuesday, the 19th day of January.
The commission in their release opined that following a successful presidential and parliamentary elections, management has ta
ken into consideration the need to break officially for the Christmas and New Year festivities.

It’d be recalled that, on the 7th day of December, Ghanaians went to the polls to elect a president and parliamentary representative for the country and their constituencies respectively.
Almost some 48 Hours later, the EC boss, Jean Mensa announced President Nana Addo Dankwa-Akuffo Addo of the NPP as the president elect following collation from all 275 constituencies with a hung parliament.
However, her announcement which would later be disputed has sent many NDC faithfuls to the street amidst protesting.
