Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ejisu on Thursday held a vigil in honour of late MP and Deputy Finance Minister, John Ampontuah Kumah.
Mr. Kumah passed away on March 7, after battling an illness, his widow revealed later on.

The vigil comes days to the final funeral rites of the man, whom the President described as a “patriot par excellence.”
“His unwavering dedication to service, his tireless commitment to the betterment of our nation, and his profound passion for uplifting the lives of the people of Ejisu and Ghana were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing him,” Nana Akufo-Addo said in his eulogy.

His burial is set for Saturday, May 18 at the Onwe Roman School Park in Ejisu.
Kumah is survived by a wife and six children.
