Leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen, has said he plans to make the Eastern region a leading center for scientific research and technological innovation if he is elected President in the upcoming December polls.
Mr. Kyerematen made his promise while speaking to traders and stakeholders on his Eastern regional campaign tour earlier this week, on March 21.
I will make Eastern Region the leading centre for scientific research and technological innovation, serving as a catalyst for youth empowerment and paving the way for a future abundant with transformative possibilities if elected as President of the Republic of Ghana.… pic.twitter.com/IlcbfQhFmI

Highlighting the region’s immense potential, Kyerematen stressed its suitability for becoming a research and innovation hub within West Africa, pointing to his vision to emulate the successes of renowned tech hubs like the Research Triangle and Silicon Valley in the United States.
Having defected from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as one of its founding members in September last year, Kyerematen hopes his political movement, denoted by the Butterfly, would bring change and unseat the NPP, and NDC duopoly. But it appears his team has a lot of work to do as there are others in the race hoping for the same vision.
