The Ghana Union Movement (GUM) has publicly invited Alan Kyerematen, the leader and founder of the Movement for Change, to join its ticket as the running mate for the upcoming 2024 December presidential elections.
Speaking on behalf of GUM, Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews, the founder of the party, emphasized that the ideals and developmental objectives championed by Mr. Kyerematen perfectly align with those of GUM, underscoring the potential for a partnership between the two in the upcoming elections.
Rev. Andrews said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency while commenting on the recent event where Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, outlined his vision for the country.
The Ghana Union Movement questioned the Vice President’s refusal to “own the failures of the Government” and expressed skepticism regarding his pledge to eliminate certain taxes implemented by the present administration.
