The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), has revealed that the party will unveil its running mate on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Kumasi.
In a Facebook post on July 4, 2024, he revealed the official date and time for the unveiling of the NPP’s running mate to partner Dr Bawumia.
“Official outdooring ceremony of NPP running mate (Napo) Tuesday 9th July 2024, Kumasi Jubilee Park, 2 PM sharp,” his post read.
One would recall that, on June 26, 2024, Dr. Bawumia consulted President Akufo-Addo on his running mate’s choice in the person of Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who serves as the Energy Minister and Manhyia lawmaker, for the 2024 general elections.

He had earlier held an official meeting with the Majority Caucus in Parliament and National Officers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to inform them of his chosen running mate.
However, the nomination is subject to approval by the National Council, the NPP’s highest decision-making body, which will make the final decision following their meeting on July 4, 2024.
