Endrick Signs Six-Year Contract With Real Madrid

The 18-year-old Brazilian footballer was signed on a six-year contract for an initial fee of 35 million euros ($38 million), with an additional 25 million euros in possible add-ons.

Brazilian footballer, Endrick, has been unveiled as Real Madrid’s latest player at the Santiago Bernabeu, days after he signed his contract with the Champions League holders.

The 18-year-old Brazilian footballer was signed on a six-year contract for an initial fee of 35 million euros ($38 million), with an additional 25 million euros in possible add-ons.

The presentation at the Real Madrid stadium comes after the Spanish club agreed to sign Endrick from his former Brazilian football club, Palmeiras in 2022. The Brazilian forward could not officially join the Madrid squad until he turned eighteen on July 21, 2024. Endrick, who was teary-eyed at the public presentation, told the fans how he longed to play for the reigning Champions League winners.

“This is crazy, I am so happy, since I was a kid I have always been a Madrid fan and now I am going to play for Madrid. I am here, I am going to play, I am so happy, my family are as well. I don’t have words to describe what I am feeling. I always wanted to be here. I wanted to play for Madrid. It was a dream. Today it is a reality,” he said.

Standing together with the President of the Club, Florentino Perez, Endrick expressed gratitude and chanted the famous Real Madrid slogan, Hala Madrid along with the fans in attendance.

“I am grateful to everyone. Now we are going to sing a chant together, I am sure you will all sing with me: Three, two, one…Hala Madrid,” he said.

Endrick will compete for a place in Real Madrid’s attack alongside Brazil teammates Vinícius Júnior and Rodrigo, as well as French footballer Kylian Mbappe, wearing the No. 16 jersey.

Endrick received a lot of attention since becoming the youngest player to play for Palmeiras, making his first team debut at the age of 16 years, two months, and 16 days in October 2022. Madrid signed Endrick in December 2022, beating out competition from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
