EUROS 2024: Turkey Beats Austria to Face Netherlands in the Quarter-Finals

Turkey’s two goals came from corner kicks, both delivered by Arda Guler and finished by center-back Merih Demiral. The first goal came just 57 seconds into the game, and Demiral struck again shortly before 60 minutes to double the lead.

Austria on the other hand dominated the rest of the half, scoring a goal in the 66th minute through Michael Gregoritsch’s strike from a corner kick. The substitute scored from a loose ball at the far post, giving new energy to the game.
