FALSE! Kufour and Wife Have not Tested Positive for COVID-19 – Aide

A latest report by GhanaNewsPage.Com indicates that former President, John Agyekum Kufour has NOT tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.

Rumours that made rounds on social media indicated that the former first gentleman of the land has tested positive for the disease.

The rumours continued that he and the wife, Theresa, have been admitted at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) and are receiving treatment for the disease.

However, sources close to the ex-President said the report is false.

The source wondered why Ghanaians would want to fabricate such a story about the gentle giant and his family.

Several high profile persons have tested positive for the disease.

Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo has gone into isolation after coming into contact with a person who tested positive for the disease.
