The former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, has been appointed Chairman of the newly constituted governing board of the Energy Commission, the University has reported.
Prof. Oduro Owusu was sworn in with six (6) other members of the Board on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, by the Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh at a short ceremony at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Energy.

In his inaugural remarks, Prof. Oduro Owusu, on behalf of members, thanked government for the confidence reposed in them and assured the Minister of the Board’s preparedness to work together to help the Commission achieve its mandate.
Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, Professor of Entomology, comes into the position with great leadership skills and many other outstanding qualities.
