The long-anticipated list of nominees for Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) positions has been released. The Head of Local Government Decentralisation and Rural Development, Hon. Dan Botwe, as part of the minister’s press briefing on Sunday, September 19, 2021, hinted that the list has been sent to the various regional ministers.
The former MCE of Suhum, Hon. Margaret Darko is set to maintain her position as the Executive in Chief, with a former member of parliament for Okaikwei North, Elizabeth Sackey also set to be the first female mayor of Accra.
