Funny Face Granted GHC120K Bail After Kasoa Accident

Ghanaian comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, has been granted bail following a near-fatal accident in Kasoa.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m., saw Funny Face’s vehicle involved in an accident at Kasoa’s Kakraba Junction, resulting in injuries to three individuals.

After the accident, Funny Face was apprehended and detained by the police. On March 26, 2024, he appeared before the Kasoa-Akweley District Court, where he was remanded for two weeks.

However, on Tuesday, April 9, the court granted him bail in the amount of GHC120,00 with two sureties.

He is slated to make another court appearance in four weeks as investigations into the incident continue.

The granting of bail affords Funny Face temporary freedom pending the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
