Ghana's Under-20 national football team, the Black Satellites, gear up to kick off their campaign in the 13th African Games against Congo at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ghana’s Under-20 national football team, known as the Black Satellites, is all set to begin their campaign in the 13th African Games against Congo at the Accra Sports Stadium Today, March 8, 2023, at 3:00 PM UTC.

Despite the dissatisfaction with the Black Stars’ performance at the recently concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON), the junior side aims to reignite the spirit of Ghanaian football by securing victory in the tournament.

The Satellites tasted success in this competition in 2011 under the guidance of Coach Kwesi Appiah, and they are eager to claim their second title under newly appointed coach Desmond Ofei. Ahead of their opening match, Coach Ofei expressed confidence in his team’s readiness and hunger for success.

“We are not under pressure, we are fully prepared, and our boys are hungry, so there is no pressure on us. We are just focused on progressing game after game,” he said in a press conference.
