The schools, the Director General said include Accra Girls SHS which has the highest number of cases being six.

He said cases have been recorded in Konongo and another school.

The Director General further said he does not see the sense in the call by the Minority in Parliament for schools to be closed down because of the confirmed cases.

“Health workers have died from the disease and Graphic even reported this so why are you calling for the closure of the hospitals as well…?,” he queried.

Dr Nsowah said he also also failing to understand why the likes of Minority Spokesperson on Health would call for closure of schools because Kenya did same.

To him, the situation is under control because Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) have been supplied with a nurse attached to a school.
