Ghana to Host Inaugural West Africa Music & Arts Festival

The objective of the festival is to bring industry players together, educate the masses, and also to celebrate the cultural heritage and artistic diversity of West Africa through music and entertainment.

Ghana is set to make history as a significant destination for hosting major events with the upcoming inaugural West Africa Music & Arts Festival in Accra.

The four-day event will commence at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, corresponding with the official Juneteenth celebration in Ghana.

The objective of the festival is to bring industry players together, educate the masses, and also to celebrate the cultural heritage and artistic diversity of West Africa through music and entertainment.

Jasmine Young, co-founder, Marketing Strategist, Professor and Music Industry Veteran, stated that the festival will provide a platform to showcase and educate on all things related to the music industry. From performances by artists to interactive workshops, master classes, and captivating arts on display.

“As co-founder of the West Africa Music & Arts Festival, I am thrilled to launch this ground-breaking event in Accra, Ghana. Our festival was birthed from the ideology of strengthening the connectivity of the diasporas and continuing the work of educating the masses about the Music and Entertainment Industries.  This festival celebrates the vibrant cultural tapestry of West Africa and what it means to the world,” she said.
