The Awoamefia of Anlo State, Torgbui Sri III, has urged the Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, not to relent from his selfless service to the nation.
“Continue the hard work that has characterised your tenure as a public official. I am solidly behind you”, he to him.
Torgbui Sri made the comment when Dr Opoku Prempeh paid a courtesy call to him at his palace on May 8, 2024.
“I am solidly behind you and I want you to remain focused. What is ahead of you is greater and so do not be distracted by anything” the Awoamefia said.

The Energy Minister recounted the long-standing father-son relationship between himself and the Awoamefia and between his grandfather, the Asantehene and Torgbui Sri, upon which the Asantehene visited the Awoamefia some time ago.
The two discussed fostering a partnership between governments and traditional leadership in the country which should be on a shared commitment to inclusivity, dialogue and development.
“I have enormous confidence in Ghana’s future, where the political class and traditional authorities work together harmoniously for the advancement of the growth and prosperity of the people”, Dr. Opoku Prempeh said.
