Recent updates concerning power disruptions in Tema, Kpone, Kpong, and select areas of Ghana's Eastern Region point to the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) as the cause of diminished power supply. This decrease has notably affected consumers, causing disruptions in residential and industrial zones alike.

The Electricity Company of Ghana  (ECG) has blamed the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) for the recent power disruptions in Tema, Kpone, Kpong, and select areas of the Eastern Region which has affected both residential and industrial zones.

In a statement on March 28, 2024, the ECG said GRIDCo had reduced power supply to their Pokuase Bulk Supply Point which is the main supplier for these areas.
