Hans Kwofie, former Striker for Ghanaian football clubs, AshantiGold and Medeama, has been involved in a tragic accident that claimed his life in the Ashanti region, on Friday, June 21, 2024.
According to reports, the footballer and his friend were returning from his hometown, Dompim Pepesa, when his vehicle collided head-on with a bus at high speed, resulting in a devastating impact that claimed the lives of Kwofie and his friend instantly.
Kwofie’s vehicle suffered extensive damage and rescue efforts were hindered by the severity of the wreckage.
Before playing for teams in the Ghanaian league such as Heart of Lions, Bechem United, Legon Cities, and Medeama, Hans Kwofie began his football career at Nsoatre Manchester United. He also played for AshantiGold, the three-time Premier League champions, where he was named the league’s top scorer in 2017.

His exceptional skill also allowed him to play abroad, where he represented Malaysian teams Puchong Fuerza and Birgunj United, Tanzania’s Singida United, Egypt’s Smouha SC, and Qatar’s Al-Oruba.
