Heal KATH  Project Receives GH¢ 120,000 in Donations

Two organisations have donated GHC 120,000 to the Heal Komfo Anokye Project.  They are Kuapa Cocoa Company Limited, and Kumasi Magazine Ghana Association of Garages Zone 13.

Two organisations have donated GHC 120,000 to the Heal Komfo Anokye Project.  They are Kuapa Cocoa Company Limited, GHC 100,000; and Kumasi Magazine Ghana Association of Garages Zone 13, GHC 20,000.

Receiving the donations,  Prof Addai Mensah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) indicated that the hospital has a long history of providing patients with high-quality care and is also the leading healthcare provider in the Ashanti Region.

“KATH has always been the primary healthcare facility for a lot of Ghanaians and for that reason, the board of the project will seek to support this project to achieve its intended purpose,” he said.

Additionally, he said the hospital serves as a referral hospital for 12 regions in Ghana.

The CEO assured all donors that the board of the Heal Komfo Anokye Project will keep track of all contributions to ensure transparency, and also make available to the public an accounting of contributions made to the Project. 

“With a rich history of providing quality services, the board of Heal Komfo Anokye Project will account for any contributions to ensure transparency. We are committed to the enhancement of healthcare infrastructure whenever necessary, and ensuring accessible and high-quality healthcare services to the people of Asanteman,” he added.

He stressed that since KATH has long served as many Ghanaians’ primary healthcare facility, the project’s board would work to ensure that it continues to fulfil its intended function.
