Michael Takyi-Frimpong known by the stage name Lord Paper, has announced his intention to run for president of the Musician Union of Ghana.
The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is an umbrella group that unites all musicians in Ghana irrespective of life music genre.
According to him, the current administration is not fit for the position.
He said this on Atinka TV.

“I am ready to grab the opportunity. I will be the President. I think those managing the industry now are playing with it.”
Even though the Dzigbodi hit maker did not make known when he will be vying for the position, he indicated that those managing it don’t have the requisite knowledge in managing such an industry.
MUSIGA Presidency
After Obour finished his tenure in 2019, elections for the union have yet not been held.
Bessa Simons has been acting as President of MUSIGA. He is also one of the candidates vying for the President position.
The elections were delayed because one of the Presidential aspirants, Ras Caleb Appiah took the union to court over some anomalies in the voter’s register and the entire system.
