Music streaming platform, Spotify, has released a compilation of Ghanaian songs that made waves globally in the first half of the year.
Spotify’s 2024 Ghana Music Global Impact list features 30 Ghanaian songs that have accumulated massive plays from outside Ghana on the platform, between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024.
King Promise dominates the list, with his hit song “Paris” claiming the top spot. He also appears on the list at the 8th and 20th positions with “Favourite Story” (feat. Sarkodie and Olive the Boy) and “Continental” (feat. Shallipopi), all tracks from his 2024 album “True to Self.”
Black Sherif closely follows King Promise, securing four spots on the list. Other notable artists featured on the list include Team Eternity, Amaarae, Stonebwoy, Fameye, Joe Mettle, Kojo Blak, Gyakie, and several emerging talents.
