Veteran Nigerian actor, Zulu Adigwe, has reportedly passed away. Film producer Stanley Nwoko confirmed his passing in an Instagram post, but the cause of his death is still unknown.
“I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, late Mr Zulu Adigwe. What caused his death is yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace good actor,” Nwoko wrote.
Adigwe’s death follows the recent passing of Junior Pope in a boat accident while travelling to a filming location. Earlier this year, the Nigerian film industry lost actors such as Adejumoke Aderounmu, John Okafor, Sisi Quadri, and Amaechi Muonagor.
President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, announced that renowned Nigerian televangelist Jerry Eze will lead a four-day fasting and prayer session against deaths in Nollywood in response to recent deaths in the industry.
