English football club, Leicester City, have announced a permanent signing of Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
The 20-year-old footballer, who has signed a five-year contract with Leicester for a fee of £14 million, joined the club on loan from Portuguese side, Sporting CP last season. With 43 appearances in all competitions last season, including seven goals (one hat-trick) and 13 key assists, Issahaku made an impressive debut for the Foxes. The Ghanaian player also played a crucial role in Leicester’s successful promotion to the Premier League, delivering impressive performances in the Championship.

Following the announcement of the new deal, Issahaku said that he felt motivated to be back for the next season with the team.
“I feel amazing. It’s so good to be back and I’m just back to focus again for next season. I feel so much motivation to be in the Premier League. It’s something new to me. I’m going to go hard for that, with the team,” he said.
As part of the announcement of Issahaku’s signing, the football Club collaborated with local band and Foxes fans, The Mercians, who surprised him with a special rendition of the clubs famous Fatawu chant, performing their own version at King Power Stadium.

Fatawu will join the Leicester squad for pre-season ahead of their Premier League return.
