Former President Mahama has selected former University of Cape Coast Vice Chancellor, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as running mate for the 2020 General Elections.
This decision was said to have shocked most of the NDC big wigs who made it to the Sunday Night meeting that decided on who to support Mahama in the upcoming elections.
But Mr Mahama was said to have defended that names which were suggested to him such as Awuah Darko, Dr Kwabena Duffuor and Prof Kwesi Botchway at the meeting were not people he could defend as two our of the three have had track record of being involved in one scandal or another while serving in various political offices.
