Mahama explained that the National Apprenticeship Scheme is designed to provide vocational training for those who missed educational opportunities, eventually addressing the issue of unemployment

John Mahama, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, has proposed a National Apprenticeship Scheme aimed at reducing unemployment in Ghana.

Speaking at a major rally in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday, Mahama detailed three primary policies he believes will greatly benefit the nation.

Mahama explained that the National Apprenticeship Scheme is designed to provide vocational training for those who missed educational opportunities, addressing the issue of unemployment.

He also emphasized the importance of a 24-hour economy as a means to boost the country’s development.

Mahama urged party members to protect the integrity of the ballot at polling stations and assured them that his policies would benefit all Ghanaians who support the NDC.

He announced that the party would officially launch its 2024 election campaign in Tamale on July 27, signaling the start of a nationwide campaign.
