President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected today to announce a ministerial reshuffle that will affect some of the big names in his government.
Described by Accra-based Asaase Radio as “his most radical ministerial reshuffle since he took office on 7 January 2017”, it is reported that about 12 current, substantive ministers of state may be affected, including ten cabinet ministers and two regional ministers.
It is also expected that about seven deputy ministers will be reshuffled. As reported by Asaase Radio, the biggest beneficiaries are expected to be backbenchers from the Majority side of the House, several of whom will fill the vacant slots.
We will keep updating this story when the list is published.
