Multipurpose Jubilee Hall Commissioned at Manhyia

The ultramodern and multipurpose Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall inside the Manhyia Palace has been commissioned.

The building commissioned on Monday, April 15, 2024, will host private Asanteman meetings, get-togethers, symposiums, cultural performances, and other events.

The beautiful and mighty edifice was jointly dedicated to the glory of God by the Archbishop of the Catholic Church in Kumasi, Rt Rev Gabriel Justice Anokye, and the Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Kumasi, Rt Rev Oscar Christian Amoah.

Her Royal Highness Lady Julia cut the ribbon to officially commission the building whilst Juabenhene Nana Otuo Serebuo II conducted the unveiling of the name of the building.

The auditorium has a cocktail lounge, offices, a-2000-capacity fully air-conditioned and acoustically designed hall, about 60 washrooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and a 150-capacity car park

Nana Otuo Serebuo disclosed that the building though modern, was constructed to model a traditional home setting where one is greeted by a hallway with a water pot sitting in one corner for thirsty visitors to quench their thirst.

Among the dignitaries present were: the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, his wife, Lady Julia Osei Tutu; the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah and the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Central Command, Brigadier General Michael Opoku.

Others were: the Member of Parliament of Sakassou Constituency in Cote d’Ivoire, Hon Mansa Ndia; : the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, ACP Frank Abrokwa; and, the Managing Director of Ghana Post Company Limited, Bice Obour Osei- Kuffour.
